Family Fun Night
The Children's Ministry is planning a Family Fun night, Friday, June 4th, from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm in the Gym. We will have plenty of fun games, prizes, costume contests, and fellowship provided for children in grades 2-6! Parents are encouraged to stay while the children are playing. During that time, in the Great Room, we will have a workshop for families and those who are newly married. The heart of this church is to see our families grow and mature in Christ, and this workshop will be a casual, practical, fun-filled evening designed to help equip the young family for the journey through a Christ centered marriage. We would love to see you there.
Bus Ministry
Summer is here, and with intense weather comes an intense schedule! We are seeing a good number come on the bus each week and God is doing a great work here in the bus ministry. We are not satisfied with staying where we are though - we want more for our kids and teenagers. There are two great opportunities coming up this summer to provide a life changing time for these kids. The first is our summer camp, Summer Stomp, which runs June 21st through June 25th.. We are hoping to see kids lives flipped upside down! We need your prayers and support for this camp, as we get prepared, and as God prepares the hearts of the children for this time. The second opportunity for the children is our annual vacation Bible school, Neighborhood Bible Time. This is a marvelous time for children, and for seeing God move in amazing ways; but we need your help! We need prayer for the children that attend, and we also need people who would be willing to teach these children as they come in. You could change a precious child’s life for ever!
Spanish Ministry
On May 7th, the Spanish ministry had a special evening to celebrate Mother’s Day. God blessed the time greatly! We had a wonderful meal, the Lea-Wilson family did a marvelous job entertaining the large group that turned out, and the gospel was preached very clearly to all that came. Of the 95 people that showed up for this extraordinary occasion (many came for the first time to our church), there were 25 mothers in attendance. Six individuals made the decision to trust the Lord Jesus as their Savior. Several weeks after the dinner, another young lady got saved due to the contact this meeting generated. Praise the Lord! He keeps working and is changing lives. Our average attendance has gone up each month this year, and in the month of May we averaged 35 with new visitors coming each week. Please keep praying for God’s mighty hand to continue doing a work in the lives and heart of the Hispano community. On the 19th of June we plan to have a special Father’s Day activity. Pray for great things to happen on that day! Also, please continue to pray for God to open more doors and that we will see more souls saved, as well as the need for more laborers to help in the ministry of reaching the lost.
