Family Fun Night
The Children's ministry is planning a Family Fun night, Friday June 4th, from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm in the Gym. We will have plenty of fun games, prizes, costume contests, and fellowship provided for children in grades 2-6! Parents are encouraged to stay while the children are playing. During that time, in the Great Room, we will be having a workshop for families and those who are recently married. The heart of this church is to see our families grow and mature in Christ, and this workshop will be a casual, practical, fun-filled evening designed to help equip the young family for the journey through a Christ centered marriage. Spanish Ministry
Praise the Lord for the many open doors we are finding as we continue to reach out to the Latin Community. It has been exciting to have new visitors almost every week and see many come to know the Lord Jesus as their Savior. The battle for lost souls rages on. Some who have visited us have shared the desire to continue coming to church but have faced challenges and distractions. Some have been hindered by serious family issues, others by changes in their employment situation, and even others by something as simple as a soccer tournament – even though it is not something simple to them. These obstacles are part of life, but they are keeping some from hearing the Word of God. We praise the Lord for the many positive things we have been seeing but we would ask you to keep praying.
Three requests that we have at this time:
- Pray for God to continue to draw more people unto Himself
- Pray for God to open more doors and remove the obstacles that are keeping some from hearing.
- Pray for more laborers to help in the ministry of reaching the lost.
Bus Ministry
God is so good! He continues to show His love for each one of us as we serve Him with our lives. We recently had our annual Bus Ministry Skate Day, and what a blessing it was to see the buses bringing in excited children and parents. There were 702 that attended on that Sunday and 54 of them were parents. An even more amazing blessing was that God gave us the privilege of leading 99 people to the Lord! Can you image the rejoicing taking place in Heaven that morning? A very humbling thing occurred on that day. One of our teens, who has been riding the bus for many years, invited many of his friends to come along with him. He brought 52 friends and family members with him! How wonderful! Let’s make his desire for the lost come alive in our lives, and begin to become concerned about the souls of our friends.
