Inspiration of the Bible
We believe the Bible, the Scriptures of the Old Testament and the New Testament, is verbally inspired of God. It is the inerrant, infallible and authoritative word of God, therefore the supreme and final authority in all things. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:21; Revelation 22:18-19)
Trinity of the Godhead
We believe in one God (monotheism), eternally existing in three persons (the Trinity): the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7; Matthew 28:19)
Fall of Man
We believe man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach the age of moral responsibility, become sinners by choice and practice in thought, word, and deed. (Romans 5:12; Genesis 1:26-27; I Corinthians 11:7)
Virgin Birth
We believe Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and is truly God and truly man.
(Matthew 1:20-21; Luke 1:35-36; Luke 2:10-11)
Bodily Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for us. (Hebrews 9:24; Hebrews 10:20-21; I Timothy 2:5-6)
Salvation by Grace thru Faith
We believe the gospel is the good news that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, that He was buried, and arose alive and triumphant from the grave; in so doing He made the necessary sacrifice for atonement, and became our substitute; and that all who place their faith and full trust in Him are saved by His shed blood. (I Corinthians 15:3-4; Colossians 1:14; Ephesians 1:7; Romans 5:9)
Separation
We believe in separation from the world. All believers are called into a life of personal separation from all worldly and sinful practices. (James 4:4; Romans 12:1-2; II Corinthians 6:14-18)
We believe a Christian should seek to live a life that is holy and above reproach. He should behave so as to be of good report. Practices which are questionable or which may cause another person to stumble should be avoided.(Romans 14:21)
We believe the Scriptures teach us to give offerings and tithes from our income and resources into the Lord’s treasury in the local church, and that all of us have a responsibility before God to be faithful every week in our stewardship. (Malachi 3:8-10; Matthew 23:23, I Corinthians 16:1)
We believe each person claiming Christ as Savior should promptly make public their profession of Christ, that each new Christian should follow the Lord’s command for believer’s baptism, that such scriptural baptism is by immersion, that baptism does not save, but that it is the Lord’s own way for us to identify ourselves with Him in an open way, that baptism is a picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. (Matthew 10:32-33; Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 9:23; Acts 16:30-34; Romans 10:9-11)
We believe that at the time of the New Birth, the believer receives the Holy Spirit and by Him is baptized into the body of Christ; the Holy Spirit forever indwells the believer as comforter, teacher, and guide; and if yielded to Him, is filled by the spirit and is empowered for service. (John 1:32-34; Acts 15:8; Romans 6:13; 12:1-2)
We believe each believer is born into the family of God, is in fact a son or daughter of the living God, is redeemed by the Lord’s purchase price paid for us, is preserved in Christ, therefore is secure in Christ, and possesses everlasting, eternal life. (John 3:16-18)
Local Church
We believe the church is a local assembly of baptized believers who have banded together for the purpose of evangelism, discipleship, and fellowship, and that every Christian should commit himself to such a local church and serve the Lord through that church
We believe the Lord’s great commission to the church was to get the gospel to the world, therefore we carry forth an extensive program of evangelism (soul winning) at home and a world wide missionary program abroad, with the goal of winning people to Christ, baptizing them, and teaching them whatever the Lord has commanded us.(Matthew 18-20; Acts 1:8)
Personality of Satan
We believe that Satan is a real being, a personal devil; that he is the enemy of God, the “father of lies”, the great deceiver of mankind, and is the instigator of all false systems of religion, and both he and all his followers will ultimately be cast into the lake of fire. (II Corinthians 11:13-16; Ephesians 2:2; II Corinthians 4:3-4)
Blessedness of the Saved, Punishment of the Lost
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the everlasting blessedness of the saved (heaven), and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (hell). (I Peter 5:8; Revelation 20:12-15)
Eschatology
We believe in “that blessed hope”, the personal, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; II Thessalonians 2:1-3)
