Throughout the Old Testament, God required the shedding of blood as a sacrifice to cover our sin. When Adam and Eve first sinned, God killed animals and used the skins as a covering for their sin. Later, during the Exodus from Egypt, God called for a Passover Lamb to be killed and the blood to be put on the door posts to show the Israelites’ faith in God. Throughout the law of God, the blood of a perfect, spotless lamb is required as the sacrifice for the atonement of sins.
All this was done to foreshadow the coming of a more perfect sacrifice. God had predetermined—even before the foundation of the world—that in the fullness of time, Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son would be the final sacrifice to pay for the sins of all mankind. The Bible, God’s Word, clearly tells us that, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
Though some characters in our presentation are somewhat speculated, the events that they observe, and the facts of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus have been held intact. We present to you Jesus Christ, “THE LAST LAMB.”
