From My Heart

Choir and orchestra resume this afternoon, with rehearsal at 4:30.  If you would like to sing in the choir or play in the orchestra, simply show up at 4:30 for rehearsal and Pastor Brian will be happy to welcome you!  The choir and orchestra is such a vital part of our overall church ministry.  Throughout the Old Testament, singing and the playing of instruments was such a pivotal part of worship.  The Psalmist David often spoke of praising the Lord with instruments, with the trumpets, and with singing!

On Wednesday the 16th, we will start the Dynamite Club for children 4 years old through the 6th grade.  We have Victory Church on Sunday mornings at 10:45, and now will have the Dynamite Club for our children on Wednesday nights.  Things are slowly but surely getting back to normal, and while I do not want to do too much too quickly,  I am anxious to get our church running on all cylinders.  I plan throughout the summer to slowly open up more and more of our ministries.

Many of you have asked me why so many in Israel are against prime Minister Netanyahu.  The best way to answer that question is to ask you to look at Netanyahu through the same eyes in which the media here in America looks at Donald Trump.  Netanyahu does not cow-tow to the liberal media and is Conservative in his politics - so of course the media hates him with a passion!  The people of Israel are divided just like the people of America, and half the country in Israel is Conservative and half is Liberal.  The media is constantly attacking Netanyahu and have been trying for years to get him out of power - by false accusations, fake charges, and making up evidence!  Does that sound familiar to you?

The Liberal Left is the same bunch of folks in Israel as they are in America.  You and I look at Prime Minister Netanyahu and like his tough Israel first stance! But, just as the American Left despised Trump’s America First policy, the Left in Israel despises Netanyahu’s Israel First stance!  We need to pray for the “peace of Jerusalem,” as the Psalmist encouraged us to do!

     Have a great day!

Pastor Norris
