From My Heart

We start Living Cross this evening at 7:00 p.m.  The Sunday evening performance has traditionally been for our own Church family, although we will certainly have many visitors.  We need the support of our Church family, so I trust you will be here tonight. There is a clear Gospel message in this year’s program (as it is with every Living Cross), so please pray for the Lord to bless it and speak to hearts. Each year we see many folks trust the Lord Jesus as their Savior, and we want to see many saved this year.

Last September I was invited to speak at a church in northern Virginia for a Monday and Tuesday night revival meeting.  We had two great services and the Lord blessed!  After Monday night’s service, a fellow came up to me and introduced himself and his family.  He smiled and said, “My wife and I got saved at your Living Cross program about 12 years ago!”  He went on to tell me how they lived in Sykesville at the time and were invited by a coworker to come on a Friday evening.  They both were saved that night!  His job transferred them to northern Virginia, and the Lord led them to the church where they joined and have been faithful ever since!  There have been many stories similar to their story.

I trust you have been praying for the peace of Jerusalem.  From what I have been reading this week, much has been happening that the media is choosing to largely ignore.  Vladimir Putin was supposedly re-elected with 80 some percent of the vote (wink wink, nod nod).  I am sure that was all on the up and up!!!!  Anyway, it seems to have given Putin a new boldness, and he has made several threatening statements against Israel and has restated his support to Iran and Syria.

The remaining leadership of Hamas who are still in Gaza, are hiding in the hospital in Gaza, where Hamas has its headquarters!  On Monday, Israeli Special Forces went into the hospital and eliminated 50 Hamas terrorists.  Of course, the top leadership of Hamas is living in Doha, Qatar.  They fled to Doha several years ago, living like kings on the money given to Hamas by several nations, including Iran, which has been given multiplied billions by the Biden Administration!

I trust everyone will have a great week!  This next week will be busy, but it will be worth all our hard work to see people trust the Lord as their Savior.
