From My Heart

Our world is in such a mess! I read an article where the author said he thought we would probably see World War III before the November election happens. Russia has warships docking in the harbors of Cuba, even as you sit here and read this column. China is threatening the entire Far East and preparing that part of the world for a Taiwan invasion: South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and even the Philippines.

Right in the middle of all this tension is the entire Middle East. Standing on the outside of Hezbollah (in Lebanon) and Hamas (in Gaza) is Iran. Iran is supplying Hezbollah with missiles and other high-tech weapons which they fired over last weekend, where 13 children were killed while playing soccer.

The Biden Administration, although Congress has voted for and approved a long list of needed military hardware, is withholding the weapons Israel needs to defend itself against these radical Islamic terrorist groups. It is absolutely amazing to me how Biden and the Democrats have defied the Supreme Court, defied Congress, defied several Federal Courts - and then turned right around and have done what they want to do! And it is even more astounding to me that Congress allows them to get away with it!

Israel is a sitting duck for all the radical Islamists who want them destroyed and driven into the sea! Without the weapons supplied by the United States, Israel is in grave danger of being able to defend itself and fight against the terrorism they face daily! The Biden Administration is withholding a package that was already passed by Congress! Instead of standing with Israel (as every President since Harry Truman has done), the Biden White House is standing with the terrorist organizations of Hezbollah and Hamas.

The President of Turkey is now threatening to get involved in the Israel-Hezbollah conflict. President Erdogan has publicly stated he is in favor of “invading” Israel. That would not be a wise move for him to take - for there would certainly be a huge loss of life in such an endeavor.

But the focus is exactly where it is supposed to be in these “last days.” The whole world has its eye on Israel and the entire Middle East. Paul tells us in I Thess. 5:3, that during the Tribulation Period, there will be the cry of, “peace and safety.” So, there will be wars and rumors of wars, and then the Lord will come back for us, then chaos and fighting - but the Antichrist will burst on the scene and bring peace to the Middle East! But it won’t last long as the Beast breaks the covenant he will make with Israel. I think we are right on the precipice of the Lord’s return to get the entire prophetic program of God rolling.

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20).

Pastor Norris
