From My Heart

Can you believe the waste that is being uncovered by DOGE? It is no wonder America is 36 trillion dollars in debt! That is such a huge number, that you cannot wrap your mind around it! Using time, let me show you the vastness of these numbers. One million seconds is the equivalent of 12 days. However, one billion seconds is the equivalent of 27 years! So, I think you can see there is a great difference between a million and a billion. And our country is 36 trillion dollars in debt.

Of course, the Democrats are going crazy over Elon Musk and his people finding multiplied millions of wasteful spending. In my opinion, the beginning of this whole issue explains some things and answers some questions. In the last 20 years or so, I have often wondered how the mainstream media has managed to stay financially afloat. For years now, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, and some others have not had a viewing audience large enough to justify them being on the airwaves. The N.Y. Times, USA Today, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, and hundreds of other newspapers have lost readers, and by the time they go to print, their news is old news.

So, how is it that these liberal media outlets can stay operational with the majority of their support drying up? Do you think maybe some of this money in the Democrats' “slush fund” just might have gone to help the media stay afloat so they can “carry water” for their Progressive Liberal friends? I have often asked where these media outlets make money - because their viewership certainly cannot support them. Now, we just might know!

Another thing that causes me to question is how these Congressmen and women get elected to office, and by the end of their term, they are multi, multi-millionaires. I read about three weeks ago (just after DOGE’s first report to the public) that the biggest search in Washington, D.C. on Google was, “How to send money to offshore accounts.” Could it be possible that there are some folks with “ill-gotten gain” who need a place to quickly hide money so no one can trace where it came from? As the older folks used to say, “Sounds to me like something in the milk ain’t clean!”

Senator Kennedy from Louisiana recently said in a public hearing, “I think we need some new conspiracy theories, ‘coz the old ones have proven themselves to be true.” I think we have all known for years that something was afoul in our spending practices here in America. I sure hope DOGE gets to the bottom of all this corruption and holds folks to account.

Let’s pray for the Lord’s richest blessings upon our services today. The Psalmist said, “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24). Let’s rejoice in the Lord and pray for the Lord to provide our needs today. Have a wonderful day and may the Lord bless you!

Pastor Norris
