From My Heart

Welcome to “Bring a Friend Day,” at the Church of the Open Door! We are so very glad to have you with us today and want you to enjoy the sweet fellowship enjoyed here weekly. We have a special gift for our guests this morning, so please be sure to get yours! We are also having a little time of fellowship after the service this evening and we will be serving homemade, all-you-can-eat chili. Everyone is welcome to come back this evening at 6:00 p.m. to feed on God’s Word and then feed on a piping hot bowl of chili!

There are so many things happening in Washington, D.C. that are not being reported by the media. Of course, the media is not going to report anything that might implicate the Progressive Left - so we should not be surprised that much of what is happening is not being reported.

One story that is not being covered certainly gives us a little better understanding of some rather shocking Supreme Court decisions over the last several years. You might remember that Pres. George W. Bush appointed Justice John Roberts to the Court and made him the Chief Justice all in one move. We were told by the media that Roberts was a Conservative and would be such a wonderful asset to the Court!

And then the Supreme Court took the Obamacare case, and the vote was a 3-3 vote, with the Liberal judges all siding with Obamacare and the Conservatives siding against Obamacare. That left Chief Justice Roberts with the deciding vote - and you will remember, he voted with the Liberals (to the shock and dismay of Conservatives) and Obamacare became law. There have been a few other decisions and opinions where Roberts has agreed with the Liberal justices or has been openly critical of President Trump.

This week it was uncovered that Roberts is a member of an exclusive club of influential judges known as the “American Inn of Court.” This is a secretive association of judges with a reputation for harboring anti-Trump sentiments. Other members of this “Club” are James Boasberg (the Judge who demanded the Venezuelan gang members be turned around in mid-air and flown back to America), Justice Ketanji Brown (a Biden appointee and proud Liberal, who cannot define what a woman is), and many others in the D.C. area.

This is quite concerning in my opinion - because the Judicial Branch of our government is now exerting authority over the Executive Branch. I thought the President and the Executive Branch were the ones who set foreign policy, but the Progressives have these judges placed all over the place, funded by George Soros, and they are stopping the Executive Branch with their radicalism. Someone asked what the Democrats stood for today! Well, they don’t stand for a 12-year-old brain cancer survivor, or for the First Lady, or for a broken-hearted mother whose daughter was raped and killed by an illegal alien allowed into the country! But it seems they stand for violent gang members from Venezuela whom they want to keep in America!

Pray for our nation and may God bless America.

Pastor Norris
