From My Heart

It is so good to have Dr. and Mrs. John Hamblin with us today! I trust you will do your best to make them feel right at home!  Dr. Hamblin has preached here many times through the years and is a true friend of mine and of our church. I am so thankful he was able to come on this Sunday while Karen and I are on our way to Alaska. His schedule stays filled throughout the year, but he was free on this day when we are headed up north. I know you will be helped and blessed by his messages today.

Last weekend, at the White House Correspondence Dinner, there was a third attempt on the life of President Trump. The political Left has been using this third attempt to make a mockery of the president. After the dust settled, the radical media (CBS, ABC, CNN, MS Now, and NBC) read a statement from a manifesto written by this disturbed individual, where he said the reason he came to kill the president was because he is a Nazi, another Adolf Hitler, and that President Trump was a rapist and a killer!

The sad thing is, there was no denial by the media of these horrible accusations! They simply read his blatant lies about the president, as if they were factual and true! This crazy man said these awful things about the president, and the media just reports them as the Gospel Truth! But the media today is a joke! What they spew out as news is spun in a devious way to further the narrative that Donald Trump is “bad!” It is no wonder so many people in our country are so “off the rails” with this “assassination culture” we are seeing today.

On another topic, we are slowly beginning to hear the results of a few trials being held for these radical protestors against ICE and against the police, where these people attacked the police, or their vehicles, and tried to intimidate the authorities. It is amazing how shocked these radical protestors are after getting long prison terms! They want to stand in the face of the police and spit on them, or break windows, or spray paint cars, and for some reason, they believe themselves to be justified because they are convinced that they are right and everyone else is wrong! Well, I suppose hearing a judge sentence you to 10 years in a federal penitentiary has a way of re-adjusting the way you see things!

Pray for us while we are away this week! I will surely be praying for you, and we will be back home and in church on Wednesday evening, May 13th.
